In the wake of recent incidents involving the interception of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in both the United States and Canada, maps showcasing the precise locations of these encounters have begun circulating on social media platforms.
The White House has repeatedly confirmed the sightings of UFOs across the country throughout this month.
This current surge of UFO sightings commenced with an event in South Carolina on February 1, initially identified as a Chinese surveillance balloon. This high-altitude object was eventually brought down on February 4, marking the beginning of a series of such incidents.
On Sunday, the Live Crisis Intel Twitter page, dedicated to providing real-time updates on global events, shared a map illustrating the locations where UFOs had been intercepted up to that point.
The map notably indicated the shootdown of the Chinese surveillance balloon on February 4, just off the coast of South Carolina.
Additionally, the map pinpointed the location of an unidentified flying object that was intercepted on Friday, February 10, in northern Alaska. Furthermore, it marked a “radar anomaly” that had been detected and neutralized on Saturday, February 11, in northern Montana, although no physical object had been recovered.
The map also displayed the estimated location of another UFO that had been shot down on the same day in Canada’s Yukon territory. An updated map, shared by Twitter user Jay Cuda, provided details about the most recent UFO interception. The White House, however, has not officially disclosed any information regarding the origin of the UFO.
Following the destruction of the spy balloon, China’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Mao Ning, held a briefing in which they asserted that it was an “unmanned Chinese civilian airship.”
In contrast, the Pentagon rejected these claims, emphasizing its surveillance capabilities. Pentagon press secretary Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder stated unequivocally that the object could not have been a civilian weather monitoring balloon. He declared, “I can assure you this was not intended for civilian purposes. We are entirely certain about that.”
Ryder also emphasized that any “responsible nation” would have communicated with the respective government before allowing an aircraft to enter another nation’s sovereign airspace.
He continued, “The [People’s Republic of China] failed to do so. Their response only came after they were confronted.” U.S. officials suspect that the balloon was part of a broader Chinese surveillance balloon program. Since the initial encounter with the spy balloon, U.S. forces have been placed on heightened alert.
General Glen VanHerck, the head of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), addressed the media on Sunday regarding these recent incidents.
He confirmed that NORAD had been on increased alert status since the first UFO sighting. He stated, “We have been intensively monitoring our airspace at these altitudes, including upgrading our radar capabilities, which may partially explain the surge in interceptions.”
